Lainey Elizabeth Posted May 25, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2005 There are 3 of us booked in a royal suite on Mercury. We are traveling with one other couple. What is the protocal if all 5 of us want to dine in our cabin a night or two. Is that acceptable?
raudacruise Posted May 25, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2005 Having others over for Dinner is not a problem. You can ask your butler for the menu the day before dinner so everyone has a chance to order in advance. BTW, cherries jubilee are NOT flambed in your room ;). A problem might be that the table in RS only seats 4. Your butler can probably get you another chair but its going to be crowded.
ssgemini Posted May 26, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2005 We had the RS on Summit last year with 3 of us. We had 4 for dinner and it was no problem having someone who wasn't booked in a suite. As mentioned, the table only really seats 4 - but I'm sure they will accommodate 5 at a squeeze. Nothing is EVER a problem when you are booked in a suite. Everything is done with a smile. suzsummit Posted May 26, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 26, 2005 When we arrived in our royal suite on the Infinity there were already 5 chairs present. We ate a lot of breakfasts and 1 dinner at the table. It was a bit snuggly but the butler left his serving table in the room and that gave us extra space to put already eaten plates and other things. judyfssw Posted May 26, 2005 #5 Share Posted May 26, 2005 We're going to be in a Royal Suite on our October cruise. There will be three of us, my mother, sister and me. What can you tell me about it and what a butler does or doesn't do. How about the sleeping situation? Any information will be greatly appreciated. UnitedFlyer Posted May 26, 2005 #6 Share Posted May 26, 2005 When My Wife and I had the Penthouse suite on the Summit we ate almost every meal in out suite. We never visited the dinning room once they would even have food sent up from the Normandy it was great.
