Belize Zoo?

Has anyone been to Belize zoo and would recommend it? We will be visiting in december on oceania, riviera. Any other recommendations? Mahalo, pearly girl

Yes, we were there nov 6. It was a cool zoo and my 5 year-old enjoyed it. She also swears she'd been there before, which tells you it's not THAT different from other zoos.

 

All animals there have been rescued, so your support can mean a lot. But with that said, I can't say I'd have gone if I didn't have a kid whose heart was set on it.

We have been twice and love it. I feel it is quite different from Zoos in the US. The animals are all native to Belize. It is much more primitive than the US. Highly recommend it.

We definitely recommend the zoo...it was a real adventure and fun to see the animals in a nice natural environment. Check their FB site, they are upgrading the zoo :)
