taxi from ocho rios to sunset beach resort

We are thinking of going to the Sunset Beach Resort with our family of 6 through Jamaicaforaday when we dock in Ocho Rios on Dec 12th. Can anyone give advice on whether we should purchase the transportation with JFD? It seems kind of expensive at $9 per person x6 for what I hear is a 10 minute ride. Am I missing something? I don't know anything about the taxis in Jamaica so I'm hoping someone here has experience with this and can enlighten me before I book.

All I can tell you is a taxi with a red govt. plate ONLY --- ask up front how much - they are everywhere :)
