Thank you again everyone for all of the tips, and sorry for the delay in getting back to this thread! Nothriver, how was capri and Pompeii in one day? Were you able to fit in a boat trip/swimming in the grottos in Capri, or was it just a town visit?

I'm sorry I misspoke, we are not doing Pompeii/Capri, rather Pompeii/Amalfi coast. I don't believe it is possible to do both Pompeii and Capri in one day. Again, I'm sorry for posting incorrect information, I realized it after I posted but was too lazy to correct myself!

 

We don't go until June, so I can't comment on our tour or tour operator yet, but I'm still very pleased with the significant savings we received by using the same tour operator for Rome & then Naples the next day. I contacted numerous tour operators and almost all of them offered discounted pricing for the combination.
