OleSalt Posted November 27, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 27, 2012 Recently we cruised the Costa Mediteranea with a wheelchair. The ship is in no way appropriate for a WC. There are no Handicap bethrooms. In some of the single sex bathrooms there are Hcap stalls, but this requires the escort to enter the room. In my case, I had to enter the ladies room with my wife or else use the men's room for her. The access to the theater is up a steep ramp with a 90 degree turn at the top. There is a space on the lowest deck of the theater where the seats have been removed for parking WC. But the steep incline of the theater makes it difficult. The MDR is accessed by another steep ramp. Problem is, once in these places to exit one must hold back on the WC and hope not to fall on the slippery floor. Costa has marked several chairs and tables with Hcap signs, but these seem to be comfy targets for the able bodied.
