2Cruise4Ever Posted May 29, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2005 how much cash to you breing on your cruise:rolleyes: That depends on how much we want to spend?!?!?!? :D We have cruised together 3 times before (6 times for my DH - this next time is with our kids). And, we typically count on spending about $100 per day per person (adult). That includes tips, alcohol, gambling, shore excursions, and shopping. Remember that your on-board account will contain the tips, alcohol, shore excursions booked through the cruise line and any shopping purchases on-board. So, we plan for the tips and shore excursions ahead of time because we know how much those are. And, then we budget for the others. We know how much we want to spend and don't go over that. You can get away with A LOT less than my suggestions if you're not a heavy drinker, gambler, or shopper. So, with that said, we bring half of that amount in cash and the other half in traveler's checks. And, then at the end of the cruise, we pay off our on-board account with the cash we have left. That we come home debt free. Happy Sailing!!! :)
