Hotel in Galveston

Have stayed at San Luis Resort (very nice but long way from the port) and Springhill Suites (also nice property but not near anything except Target.) For our 12/31 Triumph sailing booked Harbor House right at the port-$90 including taxes put not overnight parking. Like the idea of walking to the Strand.

We stayed at the Best Western Beach Front in late Oct. Very nice but not elegant. $114.00 per night and we left our car in their lot for a week as part of the deal. Had dinner at Tortuga, a Mexican cafe right next door and it was excellent.

Took Jeff's cab to the pier and back--about $25.00 each way.

Enjoy your cruise.

We always drive down the night before. Next week we will be staying at the Country Inn and Suites... we've stayed there several times. And we've stayed at others as well.

From most anywhere in Galveston it's only a $12 or so taxi ride to the ship, and it only takes 10-15 minutes.
