rebeccalouiseagain Posted December 4, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 4, 2012 I have not sailed Costa in years but I did have a good time. Would it be my first choice for sailing in the Med? No. I would do Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess or even Holland America before I would do Costa. Read reviews from the same time of year last year that you are intending to do. This will give you a better idea if it is the right cruise line for you. The reason I would not opt to do it- is because the standard cabins tend to be on the small side, there will be lots of announcements because they cater to more Europeans than some of the other lines. So will be noiser. The ships tend to carry more passengers- especially during holidays and "kids sail free" cruises. it wouldn't be high on my list of cruise lines. Gunner22aa Posted December 5, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 5, 2012 As posted the majority of cruisers on this ship are likely to be European. While almost all countries in Europe teach english as a second language many will perfer to speak their native tongue. Is it possible that this could distract from your childs enjoyment? Perhaps it could enhance the experience. I think a lot might depend on your childs age.
