Ken076 Posted December 27, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2012 Looks like your thread poofed! Go to carnival.com then Cruising101 | Ships and StateRooms | Pride | Deckplans to see where all the Categories are and what's near, above and below you cabin choices. There's a so-called "Bar Credit" Booking type, where they essentially jack-up the cruisefare then give you back something like $50OBC per cabin - usuall this rate is higher than your other choices. If you do Trip Insurance, strongly consider the TravelInsured and TravelEx Policies that insure kids free with insured adults, and have generally higher coverages and lower premiums than Carnival's Policy. Your Riviera deck cabins should be mid-ship, preferably centered between the elevator banks. You WOULD be below the Atrium and Casino. Your Empress cabins would be between two passenger decks, and closer to the "action" but DO have a passageway on each side of the cabin. Those (and price) are your tradeoffs! If you could get two "connecting" Triples that would be good - otherwise two "adjoining" triples. You'll probably want/have to book one adult and two kids in each cabin, then switch once you board. ken
