Thanks for the review and great photos. We sail Jan 27&Feb3. There are a few from our roll call asking questions, we are all getting so excited. I was going to get a hook bracelet on our last cruise but didn't. Think ill "need" one this time. Where exactly did you get it?

As you exit the ship and down the dock, go through this archway, turn right. There were several canopy covered booths with people selling souvenirs etc. It was a little way down the block on the right side. I think there might have been a liquor store or bar across from it. Make sure that it is the Sonya Ltd bracelet. It should come with a pouch, cleaning cloth, and warranty card. Also, if you Google Sonya Ltd. you can find where they are available in the local jewelry stores but I believe them to be more expensive. Good luck!

After we said good bye to our new Iguana friends, we hopped back in the van and headed down the road. As I said before, I was not in a note taking mood so I had no idea where we were or what we were looking at. I suppose I could Google" pictures of St. Maarten" to figure it out, but I'll leave that to you! :p Here's a few from the van.

Our driver pulled off the road at an area near a beach and announced that we were going to meet "The Sea Urchin Man". This local had a small table set up at the edge of a calm bay. On the table were sea urchins in various forms of life and death. He explained that this was a free exhibit for us! (But tips were appreciated).

He would go into the bay and retrieve various urchins and bring them to the table for us to see or hold.

Our tour guide did some of the narrative while the Sea Urchin Man did the collecting.

Back in the van, we hit the road, headed to our next destination.............

This was going to be interesting............

I was expecting a beautiful "tropical" paradise. Ahhh, not so much. It was crowded. Chairs were crammed close together. People everywhere. I live in California. I can get that here.

It was no where near as nice as Sand Castle Beach. (I'm spoiled). I took only a few pictures as they asked that you don’t photograph. We were in the area where there wasn’t “supposed” to be any nudity. LOL. There were 2 women who exhibiting their “breasts”. They weren’t sunbathing. They were strolling around, strutting their not-so-great stuff. It made for good conversation and an even greater laugh. Alexis (who we have come to find out is 1/2 amphibian),jumped into the water and never came out until it was time to leave. Cameron on the other hand, sat in his chair, continuously looking straight down and digging holes in the sand until we left. Poor kid……….

I did manage to get a few pictures.

We ended up spending about 2 hours there. Back in the van, I snapped a few pictures of the drive to Marigot.
My daughter loves the pictures of the sea glass :)

If you wanted to walk to Sandcastle along the beach, do you turn to the right or to the left after leaving the ship?
Right. We talked to a few people who walked it and they said it was a nice walk....3 miles though.

We had a quick ½ hour stop in Marigot to grab a bite of lunch. We ate at Sarifina’s bakery. The sandwiches were delicious and oh, the pastries! Jessica had strawberry cheesecake and Alexis had the Black Forest Cake. I finished off what Alexis couldn’t eat. Cameron isn't much on desserts so he passed. I wish we could have spent more time in Marigot but there was a plane ready to land and we were headed to Maho beach to see it, or would we?

We quickly finished lunch and drove to Maho Beach hoping to see a big jet land.

They post the times of all the flights each day on this surfboard.

We had just missed a jumbo jet landing a few minutes before we arrived.

We did see this plane take off which blew a couple of our Roll Call people into the sand and their hats into the ocean. Of course, none of this was captured on film…..

Maho Beach was hot! It was the hottest place we visited all week. Shade was scarce.

They have a great outdoor bar that was packed with people. It was a fun atmosphere with music and of course, Free WiFi.

After a few minutes standing around in the heat, we decided it was time to go. We climbed into the air conditioned van, and started heading back to Phillipsburg.
