SEA SOUNDS Posted June 1, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2005 Will the pricing drop because of one less port? For sure you are going to spend more money with the extra sea day. I love the sea days! I feel that the port taxes and gov fees should be removed if they decide to remove Progresso from the itinerary.
bsdmhutch Posted June 1, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2005 One of my co-workers is going on the June 18th sailing and they were told they would get credit for their Port charges.
S.S.Oceanlover Posted June 1, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 1, 2005 you should see a $3 - $4 reduction of your bill. Don't spend it all in one place. :D Bill
Angel99mm Posted June 1, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2005 Yeah, I heard from a Carnival employee they ARE refunding the port charges for Progreso, but they are only about $3 and change per person, so no big change.
SEA SOUNDS Posted June 1, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted June 1, 2005 SSoceanlover and Angel----------How do you know this? Isn't ther gov fees and port taxes? I would think it would be more than what you both said? If so, I won't spend it all at one time!
Angel99mm Posted June 2, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 2, 2005 Seasounds--a friend/neighbor of mine works for Carnival and heard about it. I think she said departures through August (those who have already paid) will see the refund on their Sail & Sign card, very little since I guess the charges for Progreso are small. Those with sailings after August or so the taxes/port charge will be adjusted on the reservation. I agree. . . don't spend it all in one place! Lol. loveJake Posted June 2, 2005 #7 Share Posted June 2, 2005 When we booked this port was listed. Just the other day I saw it was gone, why was it dropped? Thanks
big_duck Posted June 2, 2005 #8 Share Posted June 2, 2005 When we booked this port was listed. Just the other day I saw it was gone, why was it dropped? Thanks According to Carnival it was an unpopular stop and Guests would prefer more time in Cozumel.
