liquor store in Tampa Westshore area .Hyatt Place airport hotel ?

Any liquor stores in the area of Hyatt Place Tampa /Westshore Hotel around 4811 West Main Street, Tampa, FL 33607. Need to pick some wine and some rum up while there in a few weeks. We don't have a car but can walk a ways. Thanks

The Hyatt Westshore has a comlementry shuttle so that is a plus.:) The two closest that I can think of would be either the ABC on Kennedy Blvd or SweetBay Grocery and Liquor Store on Dale Mabry Hwy. The shutte driver will be able to use some shortcuts and may prefer one over the other or may be able to suggest a closer one that I am not aware of.

Yes, after 11 am.

 

 

Here is a link to the hours of liquor sales. Just scroll down to Tampa and the store on at 2527 Dale Mabry. This location is close to the airport and Westshore hotels. This link is for the SweetBay stores but I would think that others may share the same hours.

I think the closest bigger stores to that hotel would be TotalWine (on Dale Mabry), ABC (also on Dale Mabry, right across the road), or the previously mentioned Sweetbay. They're all a bit over a mile away. On foot you'd go north up Westshore, turn right at Spruce/BoyScout; follow Spruce, which comes out right on Dale Mabry right by the TotalWine. If you walk it, you might consider a stop at the Cigar City Brewery taproom; it's a craft brewery here that makes very good beer.

 

There's a small, locally owned store slightly closer, probably just under a mile - Lazzara Family Liquors. If walking, you'd go south on Westshore to Kennedy, then east on Kennedy about a half-block.

How were the liquor police boarding in Tampa? Any problems with getting the rum on board? What ship were you on?

Have a future cruise planned for the Dawn, and curious. Thanks
