What to do in La Havre?

Recommended Posts

Hello

My wife and I need ideas of what to do in La Havre. Please give us some suggestions. We wanted to find a wine tour but no luck at this point.

Look forward to seeing your thoughts and ideas.

Thanks

We arrived in Le Havre on a Sunday and rental cars were not available. We hired a taxi at the dock - they were very plentiful. We went to Honfleur for several hours (the driver met us at an assigned place) and had a wonderful day. Honfleur is a charming old port with lots of sailboats and other small boats pulling in and out of the quai.. It is a small enough town to walk from "stem to stern", with great seafood restaurants lining the quai.

As a bonus, the taxi driver took us to a great wine shop (run by Brits) on our way back to the ship, and we got some great bargains on good wine to drink in our cabin.

We did both Honfleur and Deauville...a charmong beach resort! Taxis were available and it was also a Sunday. There is NOTHING to do in Le Harve...we did walk to the rocky uninteresting beach!
