New to Disney--Questions about Magic

Just recently booked a cruise on Disney Magic out of Galveston, and we have never been on a Disney cruise. Bringing my 8 year old granddaughter who is a tomboy (loves lizards, dinosaurs, etc.). What activities do they offer for this age group? Can you give me an example of a typical day's activities? Are there Pixar characters on board? Any information will be gratefully appreciated, as we are clueless.

There might be some Pixar. But in general not really. Disney did offer a few PIxar themed cruises in Sep and Oct 2012. The ship had lot of Pixar charaters and art work.

Your granddaughter will find things to do.

Disney has science experiments, games, arts and crafts, sports, cooking and drawing activities in the clubs.
