Bad cabin choice???

Recommended Posts

Hi

We're cruising to Bermuda on the Crown on June 19th and one of the couples who is traveling with us is now wondering if they should have chosen another cabin.

When going over the deck plans they noticed that they are on the deck right above the Stardust Lounge, Restaurants, Casino, Bars, etc. They wonder if they will be able to hear lots of noise from all of this. Plus, they are on the floor with all of the kid/teen activities. I've never read that anyone couldn't sleep because of noise but thought it would be a good idea to consult the cruise experts on the boards for some advice. Would you suggest that they attempt to get another cabin?

Thanks

:) My husband and I were on this deck. The teen club/kids center is much further away from the cabins then it appears. We found our cabin location on this deck to be great. Did not hear any noise from the decks below. For some reason I find the older ships are much more quite the the new ones.

Glad to help. We were in cabin 8052. That is a handicap cabin. My husband is in a Jazzy wheel chair. If you check to see the location one would think we were so close to the teens/kids etc. we were not, we had a ways to go to to get there. Remember you are going to Bermuda (9 times for me) keep that in mind. When we were on the crown it had just got here from the sister company to ncl, orient Lines. (It did go out of NY to Bermuda years back.) At this time we felt it was not ready for NY or freestyle. I do hope it has changed since we were on a year ago. If Elvy Rose is performing do not miss her act. We don't. Very entertaining. You chose to visit the most beautiful Island. In Hamiltion don't miss Horse shoe bay, pink sand. You are going love it. Enjoy.:)

Ops one more bit of info just came back the Dawn in April, from Bermuda on the Majesty in May and going back in July on the Majesty. We are driving up to Boston again to catch the ship. Bermuda was beautiful as always. The ship was great. Something to think about. Majesty! ! great ship:)
