Fiskardo to lake melissani

Has anyone done this, either private tour or by renting a car? We are in Fiskardo for the day in September and would love to see the lake without having to do a ship's tour.

 

What else should we see? Any info very gladly received.

We were on the Nieuw Amsterdam last October - we docked at Argostoli - booked a mini-van for 15 with Kathy from Kokolis travel - we toured the entire Island - not sure what ship you are on - but Fiskardo is a very small harbor - anyway Ive made a shutterfly site for my trip - it is incomplete - but the link is http://2012nieuwamsterdam.shutterfly.com/ - go to the MORE link Argostoli/Kefalonia was there - we had a great day

Thank you! I will try and get a roll call going later for our cruise and see if anyone would like to join us. Or maybe we will rent a car and drive there ourselves. Your photos are beautiful!
