sueandkent Posted January 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2013 Arriving on the Crown Princess Feb 28th. We really only want to go to the beach at this port. There really isn't even any ships tours that interest us. We have never been to Belize. Are there any beaches (not swimming off a dock) with chairs to rent, etc or can anybody recommend anything else they found to do that was safe. We are not interested in the ruins, cave tubing or anything like that on this trip. We were not planning on bringing the snorkel gear at all...should we be? Thanks as always to the great CC'ers for the help.
Will in sunny FL Posted January 22, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2013 There are no real beaches on the mainland & or near Belize City. You will have to go to one of the out cayes like Goff's or Caye Caulker where there are more beach like places to enjoy. Look up Coral Breeze Tours & check out their snorkel trip & later stop on Caye Caulker for a local lunch. IMHO, Belize is for snorkeling their fantastic barrier reef as Roatan is also for snorkeling at the walkin beach called Tayabana Beach, a ships tour spot. I'd not miss snorkeling at either spot, if you are into snorkeling. Enjoy Belize. Bill in FL
