ajenali Posted January 23, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2013 What's the best place to eat in NOLA? Our group is mixed, some like seafood and others don't. Suggestions for something different than the usual steakhouse/fast food that everyone will enjoy?

Human Speedbump Posted January 25, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2013 http://cafemaspero.com/ This little jewel has been in business for 40 years. You can get fried seafood, salads, great french onion soup and overstuffed sandwiches in homade bread. It is located across the street from Jax Brewery. If you want the best Poboy in NOLA is at Domilisi's. It dont look like much from the outside...but it is a great poboy. https://plus.google.com/111575809209666843895/about?gl=us&hl=en Also, there is Mahoney's on Magazine Street. this place was featured on the food channel a few years back. http://mahonyspoboys.com/ And last but still good, there is a local chain called New Orleans seafood and Hamburger Company. If you go, try the BBQ Shrimp poboy, my favorite. http://www.nohsc.com/ Oh.. and one more. Mother's on Poydras St., Again it dont look like much but its good Poboys and gumbo and such. http://www.mothersrestaurant.net/ Now...if you want a true Louisiana Cajun experience, Try Mulate's. Good cajun food and live music most nights. http://www.mulates.com/ I hope this helps.
