Belize Cave Tubing - Claustrophobic

So....I am claustrophobic and do not like darkness and snakes of any kind. My two friends want to do a cave tubing tour. Can anyone tell me what it involves? How dark is it, how many caves, how long does it take to get through the caves, is the water very cold, and most importantly are there snakes of any kind anywhere?

You get a small headlight you wear. It's dark, but you can see light out either end of the cave.

 

The coldness depends on what month you go.

 

We enjoyed it, but you might be happier staying on the ship while they go.

Thanks for the reply. I think my best bet will be to spend the day at a beach and meet up with them in the port area. :)

My Friend had a snake drop in her lap while in the tube... :eek:

 

When my family went on a different cruise we didnt see a snake but did see a few bats. The water was cool in March but once you were in it was ok and didnt feel cold.

Oh, but first you would scream, scare all the bats, ......big commotion. Actually, it might be quite interesting.

 

It does sound like you might be happier at a beach. Check out the cruise line excursions.
