IAH to Galveston via RCI shuttle

Has anyone used the Royal Caribbean shuttle recently to get to the port on embarkation day from IAH? Are there advantages to using RCI vs a different shuttle company. RCI is $47 pp one way...expensive!

I hope you have better luck getting a answer to your question than I did. No one would answer about RCCL bus transfer for me. I wanted to know what time they would leave IAH to the pier.

I am curious as well...just booked for Mariner at the end of March and want to know the options from getting from IAH (or Hobby) to the pier.

IAH is easily 1.5 hours or more (depending on traffic) from Galveston, so $47 for a one way trip is pretty reasonable. A taxi or private car service would be well over $100.

 

I would think that unless you have at least 3 people in a group, the RCI transfer would be the most cost effective choice.

 

 

If you're in a group or have some others who you can share with, then a private car service or Supershuttle might be a better choice.

Does the RCI shuttle drop in a better location at the port or is there an expedited process if you utilize their shuttle with boarding or luggage?
