javamom Posted February 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2013 A cruise I am looking to book is offering Casino Rate lower than Early Saver. My question is - Can I book ES then later be price matched to Casino Rate, thus keeping options open thru ES to get additional price drops? CruisingSoon88 Posted February 2, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2013 Yes you can change from early saver to a casino rate if it is lower. You will still be early saver so if there are any price drops you are protected. Just keep in mind any casino cash that you are getting when comparing prices. javamom Posted February 3, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted February 3, 2013 . Just keep in mind any casino cash that you are getting when comparing prices. Can you explain that? Thanks!
CruisingSoon88 Posted February 3, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 3, 2013 Let me explain by using my upcoming Breeze cruise as an example. I originally booked early saver and then changed to a casino rate so I am price protected. My rate is $3006.56 for 4 people in a cove. I also have $100 casino cash as part of my offer. Yesterday the rates dropped to $2906.56. Although the rate is $100 less, technically it is the same as what I have because of my $100 casino cash. $3006.56 - $100 casino cash = $2906.56. I'm just saying to consider that if you are booked under a casino offer and part of the offer is casino cash, remember that you will lose that cash if you match to a different rate code. I hope this helps?:)
mspeiden Posted February 3, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 3, 2013 You are given casino cash when you book the casino rate. If you book the early saver rate and the have them match the casino rate you will not recieve the casino cash because you now have the early saver rate. javamom Posted February 3, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted February 3, 2013 I have another question. I have never booked casino rate prior. We are booking three to a room. Two people qualify for casino rate. Will each receive casino cash? TIA for help.
CruisingSoon88 Posted February 3, 2013 #7 Share Posted February 3, 2013 I'm not sure about this because I assume that you are saying that 2 people received the offer. I would call the players club and ask. It seems like both people would receive the cash if you both got the offer and booked in the eligible time frame. The third person would not receive the cash if they didn't receive their own separate offer. Just call and see what they say. It never hurts to ask.
