R&K in NC Posted June 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2005 I was told that if I thought that the Conquest class was too large of a ship that we should try the Spirit Class. What ships are in this class? Does any sail the Eastern Caribbean and from Florida? I have done several western Caribbeans but I wanted to try the Eastern. PINEVIEW01 Posted June 7, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 7, 2005 I too feel the Conquest class is to large. The Spirit class includes the Carnival Spirt, Pride, Legend & Miracle. The legend does a 8 day Eastern Caribbean.
Cruising89143 Posted June 7, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 7, 2005 The Spirit class consists of four ships. The Spirit, Pride, Legend and Miracle. The Spirit and Pride are both based on the west coast year around. The Miracle is based out of Tampa year round going to the western Caribbean. The Legend spends her time between homeports of New York and Ft. Lauderdale. If you are wanting the eastern then take a look at the Legend. http://carnival.com/Ship_Detail.aspx?shipCode=LE I happen to like the Spirit class better than the Conquest class due to their layout. Less crowded and a better flow. Some on here do not agree with that but maybe you need to try one out and see for yourself.
bcc99 Posted June 7, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 7, 2005 I think these are right... (cruisingator2 beat me to it! but he's right that Legend is your best shot for Eastern Caribbean) Spirit: 7-Day Alaska, some Hawaii, Mexican Riviera from San Diego Pride: 7-Day Mexican Riviera from Los Angeles (Long Beach) Legend: 8-Day Caribbean from New York in summer, Ft. Lauderdale in winter Miracle: 7-Day Western Caribbean from Tampa I've been on the Pride (Spirit-class) and the Conquest (Conquest-class, apparently)--I personally preferred the Spirit-class, but there are many threads debating the merits of each. And no, I don't work for CCL...but I'd like to! :D
Bsan1221 Posted June 7, 2005 #5 Share Posted June 7, 2005 I personally love the Spirit Class ships. I have been on the Carnival Spirit twice and it never looks or feel crowded. What is the Carnival Victory considered???
bcc99 Posted June 7, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 7, 2005 What is the Carnival Victory considered??? Destiny-class, maybe? Victory and Triumph have an extra deck of cabins, but those three get lumped together.
