When you exit the ship everyone is funneled through a building at the port. They sell straw purses in there along with conch shells and other souvenirs. You can also try the Straw Market which is just down the street. I found a cute straw clutch at the Straw Market for about $20, but you really have to spend time walking through the hundreds of vendors to find ones that are of good quality. I suggest the straw market which is a short walk right near the pier. They hand make them right there and can put your name in them if you wish.
