Water shoes on cave tubing?

We don't have any old tennis shoes, do you think water shoes would be ok for the hike back? Has anyone used water shoes to do the hike and how did you do?

we just got back from there and water shoes are fine for the hike --- but make sure they are good ones. Wife had a cheaper pair that started falling apart on the hike down and had a rough time walking. I had no issues.

 

By the way --- they did rent them on our trip. I think $5 but not real sure of that as the wife was already 1/2 way down the trail when her's fell apart.

We used the Princess excursion. A lot of times we go independent but for some reason went with Princess on this one.

I wore $3 water shoes from Walmart and did just fine last month.

We hiked in water shes, and did just fine. It's a good path, mostly level.
