nycshipmate Posted June 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2005 So, I'm compiling my list of tips 1. arrive at pier at 2pm, to avoid lines and crowds - important when travelling wtih seniors or young children 2. make all dining reservations Sunday night - to get first dibs 3. tip room steward on day 1 - assure great services(?) 4. get menus on day 1 - helps with planning meals 5. at gsc, go to the right after exiting the tender - less crowded 6. OK to order any food, even if you don't see it on the menu I'm so nervous, and anxious, excited, eekk. First time cruiser here. feel free to add :D A couple of edits :) 2. make all dining reservations Sunday night - do # 4 first 4. get menus on day 1 before making reservations - helps with planning what nights would be best for the specialty resturants 5. at gsc, go to the right after exiting the tender if you don't want to swim - less crowded, rock bottom, no lifeguards 6. As for weather, looks like t-storms Sunday out of NY, and chance of scattered storms here and there throughout. But you know, that's ok too! judyf Posted June 8, 2005 #7 Share Posted June 8, 2005 You can swim at that beach. We did and had a great time. Just wear water shoes, I did and made it easy. Many were swimming there that didn't have them and they did okay too. Once you're out a little ways it's a sandy bottom.
