So, I'm compiling my list of tips

1. arrive at pier at 2pm, to avoid lines and crowds - important when travelling wtih seniors or young children

2. make all dining reservations Sunday night - to get first dibs

3. tip room steward on day 1 - assure great services(?)

4. get menus on day 1 - helps with planning meals

5. at gsc, go to the right after exiting the tender - less crowded

6. OK to order any food, even if you don't see it on the menu

I'm so nervous, and anxious, excited, eekk. First time cruiser here.

feel free to add :D

A couple of edits :)

2. make all dining reservations Sunday night - do # 4 first

4. get menus on day 1 before making reservations - helps with planning what nights would be best for the specialty resturants

5. at gsc, go to the right after exiting the tender if you don't want to swim - less crowded, rock bottom, no lifeguards

6. OK to order some foods, even if you don't see it on the menu

And the number 1 tip for smooth sailing hope for great weather

Thanks, shoreguy :)

We (I) do want to swim--well, actually frolick. How far is the beach from the area with the hammocks?

As for weather, looks like t-storms Sunday out of NY, and chance of scattered storms here and there throughout. But you know, that's ok too!

You can swim at that beach. We did and had a great time. Just wear water shoes, I did and made it easy. Many were swimming there that didn't have them and they did okay too. Once you're out a little ways it's a sandy bottom.

We loved that side of the beach it was so relaxing and no kids jumping and screaming.
