price watching

i started watching the prices on the Elation's 4/1/13 cruise just before the Triumph ordeal. DH wants to cruise, but i only want to go if its at **my** price, otherwise i want to stick with our beach vacation plans. Anyway, up until a few days ago, it looked like there were about 45-50 rooms that could handle my family of 3.

Now the prices are $75 pp higher and there's still about 35 rooms for us available. (A huge amount of the rooms seemed to leave overnight, almost all of them interior)

 

I can't tell if they're assigning rooms, or making prices higher in case Triumph passengers who've had their cruises cancel want to transfer???? (which i think would not be cool for those folks!) Am I not thinking about this right? (I'm certain i'm over thinking it!!! :) )

 

I guess i was surprised to see prices rising like this.

Fuel prices have been going up also. Airline tickets also...???

My Elation cruise that I booked weeks ago for June has been going up in price but it started before the Triumph incident. I see this happen with every cruise and the price usually drops again as it gets closer.

My April cruise went up today by $30.00 pp. I am hoping for a President's Day sale Monday. Maybe they inflated them this weekend so they can drop them back down again Monday. Can't hurt to hope.

Booked the Breeze for April on Wednesday night. Obviously had to pay in full because we were within the 75 days. Check again on Thursday, dropped $40pp:mad::mad: No credit, or OBC for the More the Merrier rate:mad::mad:

Ok. I'm done venting. Still cruising in 57 days, so life is GOOD!!!!!!!:D

booked the valor about 3 weeks ago for an Aug. 2013 sailing and have had 2 - $30 pp price drops since.

Both were on a thursday.
