Quick phone question

If I have iPhone5 and want to just do text from ship, what settings do I need to set? Don't want to get data roaming, push, fetch charges. Just text. Thanks!

i'm not exactly sure, but won't you need to get charged roaming so it'll pick up a signal and work? and then you'll get charged for each text. you may want to check with whatever cell company you have.

All Iphone 5's have the GSM radio built in, on top of that, carnival has towers compatible with both GSM (ATT and TMobile), and CDMA(sprint, verizon) built in. You won't have to do anything for your phone to work, except prepare yourself for the charges, which for most carriers are .50 outbound, and .20 inbound. You can reduce the rate by adding an international package to your plan for about 5-10/month, lowering the rates to about Half the cost.

if you buy some sort of wifi plan on board, make sure all your roaming and data is off. If you have access to wifi have your friends/family you need to reach download whatsapp. It does not require data to work...
