Port Canaveral: Worth buying FTTF?

MsMontreal

First time Carnival cruiser.

Is it worth buying a Faster to the Fun pass for the Port Canaveral stop?

Has anyone done it both with and without the pass, and if so, what were the time differences for disembarking the ship?

We think we'll probably just do outlet shopping, not Disney, if that makes a difference to your reply.

Thanks in advance!

FTTF won't give you ANY benefit for disembarking at this port. Only at ports where a tender is used, you would get priority tender.

Are you sure? I read on another thread that they were given the choice of what group number they wanted when disembarking...

In the FTTF descriptions, all it says is

Tender Priority

You will have the option to choose a priority tender from the ship to shore (multiple departure times may be possible), so you can explore ashore as quickly as you would like.

Applies to tender ports. Shouldn't take long to disembark when docked.

If you read a little further in that description it says this :

Debarkation Choices: We are always sad to see you go. But when your cruise is over, you may choose an early or late disembarkation time upon arrival to your homeport.

OP is asking about a port of call, not when starting or ending the cruise.
