Legend Review 5/29

First of all let me start with the facts: This was our 7th cruise on Carnival and our 4th time one the Legend. We were a group of 18 family and friends. Ages 5-82. DH 60 myself 55. Cabin 6162-Cat 11.

Rating on a scale of 1-10 a BIG 10.

This was by far our best cruise ever. Nothing went wrong, nothing to complain about. We had great company and great weather.

Emb: We arrived at 11:30 and I was in my cabin by 12:20.

Deb: They called us at 10:30 and I was home in my kitchen by 11:50.

Truffles: Great waiters Orlando & Madi table 217

Cabin: Great room steward Putu & Roman

Ports: San Juan- I had chartered a private fishing excusion for DH and other guys with Capt Omar. They went Lagoon Fishing and had a GREAT time catching Tarpin. Us women just walked over to the Sheraton and had drinks under the umbrella's. Lot's of laugh's.

St. Thomas- Booked a private Safarai bus with Godfrey's. We had a driver named Renaldo who was very nice. Took half our group to Megan's Bay straight away and the rest went off sight-seeing etc. Then we all went to Megan's Bay. FUN FUN FUN

Tortola- We did the excursion through Carnival the Island Sail Away. What a great time we had snorkeling, sailing and swimming.

The slide was open.

Stole Pete's idea and asked Putu to bring 2 lounge chairs from the pool for friend and me. Sweetttt and relaxing.

We ate breakfast everyday in Truffles as well as most of our lunches. DH eats less that way and the food was very good.

Hell-ooooo is all I will say about the dining room entertainment. We found it lots of fun. As I said we were with friends and family and laughed the whole time.

The casino was good to us. I won a 1600.00 jackpot on a nickel machine. Grandpa won 2400.00 on a quarter machine.

Any questions fire away.

hi, I am glad to hear you enjoyed your trip. i will be on the legend from new york in september. When you were in San Juan, did they let you use the facilities that the resort had? like the pool. I wasn't sure if you could. When we went to freeport we went to the port lucaya sheraton and for 20 dollars a person you got a lounge chair towels and got to use the pools and the beach. This is my first time to san juan . is the sheraton on the water? Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

we were on the Legend for Thanksgiving and enjoyed her, although we did the southern Caribbean. We are going on the Legend again in the spring, doing exotic Western, we have booked an aft wrap around suite!

Mommao- The Sheraton is not next to the water. They told us that you could take a cab to the Marriot and they allowed you to use their facitlities but I didn't try it. I know the beaches closed at 5:00 and by the time we got off the ship and found the guy for DH that was picking him up it would have been a waste. There are bizzilion of drivers cabs tour people when you get off that will take you anywhere for 10.00 it seems. Good Lucj

PollyNJ, I agree with you totally. We got off when you were getting on and this was our second cruise on the Legend and just love her ..:)

tbag124, We cruised out of NYC in Feb. to the S. Car. and was able to lay out the second day at sea as well as the second to last sea day coming back. So you will be able to in Oct., maybe even the end of the 1st full day at sea.
