lalalang Posted February 23, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2013 I will be on the Miracle in July. A balcony cabin. Will it have a fridge, and if so, how much can it hold? Thanks!
benefactr Posted February 23, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2013 Haven't been on that ship but all of the ships I been on all had hotel size mini fridges in them. I think people say you can have the steward remove the contents to make more room. Even with the stuff in it there still was room for a few cokes and such. meluvtogocruise Posted February 23, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2013 When we were on the Breeze in January we just asked our steward to empty the fridge and he was happy to. He placed everything in the cabinet behind the television. So... you're going to Alaska in July too??

lalalang Posted February 23, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted February 23, 2013 July 2, so excited! Me too. This will be our first. I've been busy planning the excursions, what to pack, etc.
meluvtogocruise Posted February 23, 2013 #7 Share Posted February 23, 2013 I too have been looking at the excursion, however have not chosen any yet. Need to talk to DH. Do you have yours selected?
Colorado Kat Posted February 23, 2013 #8 Share Posted February 23, 2013 The fridges don't keep things really cold. A bit cool. I have better luck icing things down in a bucket.
lalalang Posted February 23, 2013 Author #9 Share Posted February 23, 2013 I too have been looking at the excursion, however have not chosen any yet. Need to talk to DH. Do you have yours selected? We are going to do the Tracy Arm fjord and glacier cruise on Thursday. Pricey, but I think it will be worth it. In Skagway, we're doing an excursion through the ship: a bus trip to the Summit and then Liarsville on the way back down (DH wanted Liarsville, so to save money we're not doing the train). In Juneau we're going on our own---taking a bus out to Mendenhall Glacier to hike, check out the Alaska State Museum, and maybe the Juneau Douglas City Museum. In Ketchikan we reserved Dave and Kat's taxi cab for the morning---they will take us anywhere we want to go, so we're going to hit some of the totem parks, try to see bears, etc. That's our shortest day in port and I don't want to waste it waiting in lines for buses so I'm looking forward to having our own personal chauffeur get us around. It's a lot of fun planning everything out. I got a couple of Alaska giode books from the library and have been scouring TripAdvisor and here to get pointers and tips. I don't want to over-book and be exhausted, but I do want to see as much as I can comfortably (both physically and financially)

Yes, but at best, they are merely coolers. Don't skunk the beer!
