Are pools and stuff open on port days

What can we expect to be open on days when ship is in port. Will the slides and pools be open. My DW is worried the water activities will be closed. We haven't been on a cruise in 5 years and last cruise pool was closed when in port. We are taking Breakaway in November and just want to enjoy what's on board. Thanks BB

Pools and slides will be open. Shops and casino will be closed.

They have been open so far , I cant imagain they wont be on the Breakaway.

many of us prefer to stay on board and enjoy the solitude ;)

There will even be activities planned for part of the afternoon while in port. Check your dailies that come to your room. NCL knows they have passengers to entertain 24/7.

It is the best time to utilize them, unlike sea days when a deck chair is hard to come by.

Some dining options will be limited but none that would make you regret you decision to stay on board.

On the Pearl last October, some sports/game activities were not available during port days such as shuffleboard. Don't think it makes much sense, but anyway. Guess they want you to find something to spend money on!

Oh thanks for all the replies, I figured most of the stuff would be open, my wife was worried...We probably wont even get off for Port Canaveral,but you never know..I also remember in winter from NY it took at least a full day before it was warm enough to use outdoor pools..Looking forward to our trip...BB
