Paying off our cruise

We are booked past guest on the Pride in August. If I pay it off will I still qualify for obc if the price drops,or would it be better to just pay it off & start buying some gift cards for some OBC?

We are on the Pride in May and I didn't think we would see a price drop because it is one of only a few east coast ports but after final payment due date Carnival had a sale and our price dropped $300 a cabin. There is a chance if you pay it off you will see a drop but don't count on it since you are on a summer sailing with kids off school and ships seem to be at capacity.

IMHO, just pay it. It doesn't mean your final payment date but THE final payment date.

If you pay it off early, you will still qualify for price drop OBC up until final payment day which is about 2 months before your sail date. I did not start seeing price drops until about 90 days out.

I've just started seeing price drops a week or 2 ago and I sail in 21 days

If you booked ES you can still get price match up until a few days prior to sailing.
