lions1995 Posted March 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2013 So I have been getting price reductions over the last few weeks. I have a Quad Balcony booked (8E). There are no Quad Balconies (other than extended) remaining, so I did a mock booking for 3 people. When I compared that to what I am paying for the first 3 people in our cabin, I show a reduced price of $120. My TA said that he checked with Carnival, and since the only available Quads are Extended Balcony and cost more, that there is no price reduction. THere is no way I can check the price for a quad since the Fare Viewer is broken. So is what my TA saying truely the case?
Isa65 Posted March 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 19, 2013 Yes, your TA is right. In order to qualify for a price reduction you have to price match to your EXACT category with the EXACT number of guests per cabin. If sold out, you can start looking at higher categories for a possible upgrade.
lions1995 Posted March 19, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted March 19, 2013 Thanks. I was not sure and I thought I saw a post here that TAs can always see the price of an cabin even if it was sold out. I guess I will need to watch for drops on extended balconies for 4.
Rare rrraydon Posted March 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 19, 2013 Or keep checking for a quad opening in your category...one in my category finally opened for me to match to. People are upgrading...ya never know!
