Hello,

I am going to be traveling to Nassau soon and I am considering going to Cabbage Beach. When traveling there do the taxi drivers drop you off at the actually beach or do the usually drop everyone go to paradise island at the same spot? I am always paranoid and like to look at the general vicinty of were I am going on google earth before I go but i can't seem to find the free beach, it looks like every where is part of the hotels based on the aerials.

Also, are there bathrooms at the Atlantis we would be able to use when coming and going? And if so, how far from the beach? No need for showers.

Is there parts of Atlantis you can walk around for free (I assume the casino) just for some sight seeing?

I assume finding a taxi back from this area is no problem?

Taxi will drop you at the public pathway next to the RIU hotel. They will be lined up waiting to take you home when you are ready $4pp. ea way.

there are no amenities on the abeach, no lifeguards, no restrooms. There are locals on the beach renting chairs and umbrellas, as well as rum, drinks and water. Jet skis etc are available for a price, but not recommended. (they are dangerous and unregulated)..

The nearest restroom is 10 minutes away at Atlantis. Not much besides the casino is open to the public. Just a few shops.. You are no longer allowed to check out the lobbies or wander around without some level of day pass No aqaurium viewing without a pass. No access to the grounds without a pass.

You can go to the casino.. and check out marina village. Remember, no kids in the casino..

if you are looking for a free beach then I would recommend Junkanoo Beach located just past the British Colonial Hilton. It is about a 15 minute walk from the port. Water is much calmer and easier to swim in than the water at Cabbage Beach which can be very rough at times.
