Empress Of The Seas - Owners suite

Recommended Posts

Just wondering what extras you get if you book a Owners Suite. Apart from a bigger cabin.

I'd like to hear from cruisers who have stayed in one of the suites on the Empress since shes been refurbed.

We had one of the Fore OS suited on Empress. It appears to be similar in decor to denb's aft suite, but naturally it has a different layout. Also, the fore balcony is HUGE. If you click on "See the Empress pics" below you will be directed to our pics. Naturally click on the Empress Album. The room pics you see are all the OS.

Also, we had an OS on Explorer, so if you click on the Explorer album you'll see that there is little smilarity between the Explorer's OS and the Empress' OS.

We were also in OS Theodora 9184 in November...

There is no noise, yes you can get sun... only thing we didn't like is that we were directly below the rock climbing wall....

Yelling, laughing etc... for those doing the wall..but the hours were limited...it really wasn't a problem ....

As SGTTAMI said, a little noise depending on the time of the day (when the wall is 'open'.) The sun, of course, depends on time of day and which way the ship is pointing. If you're asking whether they are covered, the answer is no... plenty of sun. There are 2 balconies with each aft Owner's Suite. One with access from the bedroom, and one with access from the living room. There is a wall between them. See the pictures of the fantail taken from the pier in St. Maarten. Decks 8 and 9... the 2 balconies on the port side and center are for the OS's. The single balcony on the starboard side on those decks are the Junior Suites (almost as big as the room).

Thanks AltaJoe nice pics - can you answer any of the other questions i posted above?

jj.......

The only extras I remember are: 1) Invitation to the Captain's table, which sometimes means a visit to the bridge, 2) A plate of snacks dropped off every afternoon, 3) Bathrobes to use, and 4) priority Tender in St Barts and disembarkation

BUT, the snacks and bathrobes may be given to everyone or other categories. I just don't know. Each of the OS suite guests were invited to the Captain's Table and the bridge. But who knows, maybe this was just done on our particular cruise.

So, the only perks that are stated are the priority tender and disembarkation.

Yes, there are two decks in 9184...we first stepped out on the one with the table and chairs and looked over and said.."hey, THEY have lounge chairs." We then realized that the other balcony was ours as well. It was very sunny in port, almost too hot to sit out for any length of time..

Other perks I remember.. full size toiletries that they used in the spa, (not the generic shower soap), cotton, Q-tips and a basket of some other stuff like scrub brushes and loofahs.

A huge fruit basket on arrival and chocolate strawberries in the evening. There were also two very nice travel bags on the last night but I think that was a Platinum gift.

Can't remember what else but I would book it again in a minute...

Thanks for the great posts and great pictures of this cabin! It was so fun to see the cabin we will actually be in--9184 (what is with this particular cabin!seems like am popular one!). We are going in March, 2006. I was so happy to see that the bathtub was so nice and was an actual jacuzzi! We just got back from the Monarch and had a bathtub in the Grand Suite but it was just a little tub.

Stay'd in 9184 would may try the front next time hard to give up aft view:D

Empress may be small but feels big, Staff is great you will enjoy

Noise -Yes rock wall and lots of vibrations at times

Can get sun - yes but not that private

You will need to wipe down chairs and railing plus always need shoes on

You will find their is soot falling at times from the stacks

felt one big balcony would be better then 2

Extras - ? hotel manager and loyal ambassador did check in with us

slippers GS and above, robes, toiletries JS and above

No Invitation to the Captain's table, A plate of snacks dropped off every afternoon only have had this in the RS think we had 3 platers

Think the most eye open experience for us was the Empress of the Sea

1st in customer service this year Empress Of The Seas

2nd was Majesty Of The Seas, went out of their way when luggage was stolen form airport

3rd was Radiance Of The Seas Love the glass and class

last place Voyager Of The Seas just lacks personal touch for us.
