Sending Fruit Home?

Here are the guidelines for mailing/shipping agricultural products from Hawaii to the mainland:

It is easy to buy fresh pineapple and papayas in Hawaii and either take them home with you or ship them if they are packaged and properly marked. For sure Dole will have what you need. So will many other places. They will go through agricultural inspection at the airport but as long as they are packaged and marked by the grower you will have no problems. Just don't try to bring a plastic bag of fruit from the grocery store!
