mamabears Posted April 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2013 The new Barbie Experience (on RCCL) looks like fun (and dd is really excited about it). But, the price is completely outrageous ($345!!). From the description of it too, it really does not justify this price. Has anybody participated and did they think it really was all that fantastic? Or, has anyone been on a ship where it is being offered but not participate? I've read that there will also be Barbie themed programs that will not be an additional cost - movies and such. Were these any good? Is the Barbie experience low-key enough that it won't be a constant reminder for kids that don't get to participate who really wanted to? Thanks for any help someone can provide. mollanjake Posted April 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2013 I was the Independence in March. The Barbie Experience was offered as I got an email. I booked it, but got cold feet so I canceled it. Just couldn't get enough info to justify that kind of $. We never saw any hint of it on the ship. Not sure if they even head it. One day we saw part of a Barbie movie on the TV. No other Barbie stuff that we saw. My DD is 8 and spent very little time in the AO.
