HHI Cruiser Posted June 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2005 We would appreciate information regarding internet cafes or sites in the various Baltic ports.
GoldenRetriever Posted June 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 16, 2005 We found a great one in Copenhagen last August. It's called Boomtown. It was very large and was only about 30 kroner for a half hour. It is across the street from the entrance to Tivoli (as there is more than one entrance to Tivoli, the one you are looking for has a teddy bear making store right there). There is also a visitors centre right nearby Boomtown where they had tons of pamphlets and brochures on Copenhagen.
tartangal Posted June 16, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2005 Wish we'd known about the cafe near Tivoi as we had difficulty finding one in Copenhagen as well as Sweden. The visitor center in Helsinki by the central market has a couple of free terminals. And we finally found the visitor center in Klaipeda (poorly marked signs for the "i" on the street had us walking in circles. Very inexpensive there- think it was around 30 cents for one half hour. On the other hand, the person I emailed never received that one so maybe you get what you pay for! We tried asking people in Klaipeda directions to an internet cafe but English isn't spoken and they would direct us to a cafe, not internet cafe. Sometimes the internet on the ship would be down so it became a quest to find these cafe's and was a source of stress. It would be nice if someone would post an internet cafe location map for these ports!
