My husband and I will be in Nassau on May 8th and want to go over to Cable Beach. Can you use the beach in front of the hotels without a day pass? We will just bring our beach bag. Thanks so much.

No,you can't.

Although the beach at the water line (the wet part) is techncally public, access to this part of the beach is thru the hotels.. and doing so.. is trespassing. Of course, you really can't put your towel down on the wet public sand... so you would be trespassing again if you used the sandy beach in front of the hotel.

There are several public access points along the way.. but they are not maintained and can be quite littered. Access to the hotel beaches by walking along the beach is restricted by walls, rocks and security.
