gobucks_43228 Posted May 5, 2013 #378 Share Posted May 5, 2013 lifeisgoodPat, Thank you. The burgers are just too tasty to resist aren't they? gobucks_43228, Thank you. Palm Beach is a public beach with hotels and multiple vendors. DePalm Island is a private resort style island with man made lagoons and water park. Friends of ours went to DePalm Island and while they enjoyed it they said they'd have preferred Palm Beach after seeing our pictures. I didn't spend enough time on the public decks to notice whether they policed the chair hogs or not. The only time I noticed chair hogs was the one time during the rain storm when I noticed all the saved chairs and saw active chair hogging as it occurred. Thank you. I think we will also chose Palm Beach :)
SenatorsFan Posted May 5, 2013 #379 Share Posted May 5, 2013 Great review and photos, Paul. I really enjoyed your water slide videos, too. I look forward to trying the slides out in July!:) Not sure how many Guy's burgers we'll be able to eat, but we'll give it a try!:D Our 15-year-old son will want 1 or 2 I expect. Heather

Njbosoxgirl Posted May 5, 2013 #381 Share Posted May 5, 2013 TT (Thrill Theater) is everything it's billed to be. Britt took in every show at least once and most of them twice. Hit ticket was a 'season pass' unlimited ticket for $14.99. One more question ...was that" season pass for the week or just one sea day? poptart Posted May 5, 2013 #386 Share Posted May 5, 2013 As always awesome review. I enjoyed it so much. One question, it's all of serenity deck enclosed with the glass around it, versus the open railing? I always prefer to have a lounger facing the sea, instead of the pool. I don't like the glassed in decks. The sports deck seating looked like it was more open to the sea.
PaulMedik Posted May 5, 2013 Author #387 Share Posted May 5, 2013 what type of rooms did you have at the hilton & how many people did they sleep? Morganboys, Karen, Britt, and I had a two bedroom Bay View suite that slept four (King bed and sleeper sofa). Bryson, Spencer, and Jaden had a corner suite that slept six (two queens and sleeper sofa). Our two bedroom was much larger than the boys room, but slept two less. There was enough room in Britt's room to sleep two dozen and still have room to walk around. As always awesome review. I enjoyed it so much. One question, it's all of serenity deck enclosed with the glass around it, versus the open railing? I always prefer to have a lounger facing the sea, instead of the pool. I don't like the glassed in decks. The sports deck seating looked like it was more open to the sea. Poptart, The Serenity Area is glassed in due to being forward with nothing between the deck and the rushing wind. The only part of the Serenity area that wouldn't be glassed in would be facing the water slides and 'serene' would be questionable in that area. ;) The aft pool deck has the type of railing you are looking for; very much like the railing on Fantasy Class ships and the loungers in that area do face the sea vs the pool. The next deck up above the aft pool also has multiple loungers facing the sea with Fantasy class style railing.

Cruisegirl1919 Posted May 5, 2013 #397 Share Posted May 5, 2013 Thanks for the great review! Did your boys take part in club o2, or did they just hang out by themselves since they had a friend? If they did use the club, I'd love to hear about their experiences! Also, how did you set up the onboard senior photo session? I'm cruising the breeze in June and would be interested in getting my senior photos done on the ship. Your boys also looked great in their tuxes on the formal nights. I wish more teen boys dressed as classily as they do, us teen girls definitely find it attractive! :D
