Sunshine-lady Posted April 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2013 This is our first time out of Port Canaveral and have a couple of questions about the muster drill. First, what time is it normally held? Second, do you have enough time to get up to the top deck for the sail away? Sail away is one of our favorite parts of the cruise, checking to see if anyone has had a problem with making it to the sail away party. Thanks! All passengers will be there and most crew so even if you could sneak out to the sail away party there wouldn't be much of one. There is plenty of time to get up there and enjoy yourself :-)
bigtone263 Posted April 21, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2013 The muster drill on took us about 15 minutes or so on our April 7th FOS cruise and there was plenty of time afterwards to go to the top deck for a sail away party. We actually prefer to go to the helipad in the front of the ship for sail away. There was maybe only 30 people or so and you have a great view of everything. Plus as everyone clears deck 4 after the muster drill, you can avoid the masses going to the elevators. :D
sergeant655 Posted April 21, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 21, 2013 It is at 4. You will have time after drill to get up stairs. If you are on the port side. Be aware Thea Disney dreams drill is the same time and both alarms sound at the sometime and is very loud. The quickest way to get in a elevator after the drill is to godown a deck or two and call the elevator there.
