New Orleans - Drop Off Luggage Early

I'm going to be on the Elation this coming weekend and can't wait!

 

I was planning to park at Fulton's around 9-10am then go to the French Quarter for a few hours before getting on the ship.

 

Are you able to store carry-on luggage somewhere for a few hours at the terminal?

 

Or is Fulton's close enough to where I could walk from terminal to parking?

 

Any other options?

Alas, You can't store any bags at the port. Fulton is within walking distance to the port but I would do it with luggage. Fulton Place Garage is a good distance from the French Quarter, the closest attraction will be River Walk Mall. I would suggest getting a parking spot on a street near where you want to visit (you may have to search a little). After your visit drive to Fulton Garage park and take the shuttle.

If I can walk to the port, then we might do that and take the streetcar to the FQ. Then we can just walk back to Fulton (or take a bus if we see it) and grab the luggage to get on the ship.
