mjk43 Posted May 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2004 We have on hold cabins on the sky deck, 9081, 9083 and 9089. They seem to be underneath the swimming pool. Are these cabins well-placed to be quiet at night, even if we sometimes go to bed as early as 10pm? That is, away from music, partying, loudly pinging elevators etc? Shirley and Les Posted May 11, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 11, 2004 They sound pretty quiet to me. If you feel any water dripping on your face, be prepared to hold your breath for quite a while (at least, til the pool is empty.) Just kidding, I don't have a clue about your cabin. Under a pool should be quiet at night. I just wanted to get your post out of my lineup. Les Sorrry!
der93711 Posted May 11, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2004 I have a bit of a problem with the rooms under the pool area. We are light sleepers and heard the 5AM moving of deck chairs every morning for about one half hour. To some people this might not be a complaint. To us it was an issue. At night you could hear the band playing and the people dancing but this was on the rare pool party. hope this helps. QueensChick Posted May 11, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 11, 2004 Don't forget the late night deck parties! There'll probably be at least one of those, and I'm sure it'll be very noisy if you choose to turn in early that evening. If you're not too terribly attached to the idea of concierge class, why not try deck 8. Cabins are the same size. Good luck and have a great cruise. ccletzgo Posted May 11, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 11, 2004 9099 was the worst cabin I have ever been in, as far as noise goes. Very early wake up calls, and no afternoon napping. Lets Go! mjk43 Posted May 12, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted May 12, 2004 Many thanks. Does this explain why: there are still CC rooms available for a Christmas cruise, i.e. because seasoned cruisers don't book them? and why Celbrity made this deck the one with enhanced service? We still really fancy the cruise - need to search for other cabins, I guess

I was on the Milli on her second week out. she was the first in the mill class, (of course) and our neighbors on both sides of our cabin where also complaining. It sounded like thunder, aluminum thunder when a kid would run across the pool deck above you. I think it was an eye opener on what was to come for this class of ship. IT was not long after that they came up with the CC cabins. Lets Go!
