goingtocruise Posted June 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2005 I know I am going to buy too much in Labadee. Is there a post office or mailing store at Miami Airport. Would like to mail some stuff home. Will take boxes in my suitcases, but don't want to pay $50 to bring them home on the plane with us. I know that Orlando has one. Would appreciate any advice. goingtocruise Posted June 19, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted June 19, 2005 thanks for the reply. I wonder if there is anyplace on the way to the airport that the taxi would stop and wait (with the meter running) for me to mail stuff back. I know I could buy less, but just love all those handmade wooden items. Last time we bought our souveniers, but this time want to buy everybody something as Christmas gifts. I think I read they also do the metal sculptures now. Can't wait to see those.
grvdggr71 Posted June 20, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Not sure where Wennfred was looking, but... http://www.miami-airport.com/html/services_at_mia.html Scroll down to "Post Office" for directions. A funny story as to how I remembered this post office was there: Coming back from our Majesty cruise last year, my girlfriend wanted to grab some stamps so we stopped up there. At that particular post office, I found what I consider to be the funniest sign ever. Sitting there, just above a small postal scale, was the following sign (and I quote): "This is not a copy machine". This wasn't a sign scribbled on paper, but one of those signs that is etched in plastic. This, of course, automatically made me wonder - who would possibly think that this postal scale was a copy machine? Best wishes on a fun and safe trip.
