OBC Question

Recommended Posts

Hi all -

Quick question about OBC. My family is sailing the Allure on 06/30. We have two cabins and received $100 of OBC for each cabin from the TA ($200 total).

Personally, I like to reserve and pay for our specialty dining, excursions, and so forth ahead of time. As a rule, I try to get everything paid for before we even leave home so I can relax, not constantly calculate costs in my head, and disembark the ship with a very minimal total on my folio.

My question is, is my OBC "use it or lose it" or, if any amount goes unused, will it get refunded to my credit card?

I believe that generally OBC is use it of lose it, however I have heard some exceptions that I can't specifically recall right now. However, you can always go to the casino on the last night and take out any remaining balance in cash minus the 3% fee.

Our experience has been that OBC from redeeming Visa Points, from a TA or given as a gift is totally refundable. It will either be credited back to the credit card on file or you can ask for it in cash after 4PM the day prior to debarkation.

If you decide to take the money out of your account, make sure that you tell them that you do not want your account closed so that you will still be able to use your SeaPass card that evening if need be.
