Buying alcohol in port!

;) I am sailing on 8/13 on the Caribbean Princess. (out of Fort Lauderdale) Is there anywhere near the dock where I can purchase alcohol to carry on? I know that in San Juan there is a shop right in the port. is there somewhere like this in FLL???

Closest place I have seen is on 17th Street right down from the entrance to the dock area. There is a liquor store kitty corner from the Embassy Suites and there is a new Publix that is across from Amerisuites and behind the Embassy Suites. It is actually a new strip mall that may have a liquor store open by this time. Last time we were there Publix was just opening up and the rest of the shops were still vacant, but they were working on them. Publix sells beer, wine, champagne, etc.

At the terminal you will see all sorts of taxis, etc taking crew/pax to the shopping area. Not far at all.
