Hertz Car Rental at the Port

Hi Can anyone help me out. We have booked with Hertz originally we were told we would be picked up at the airport and then taken to the airport to collect our car. But due to being unable to get tickets for Pearl Harbour we have booked through NCL and will now be dropped off at the airport from them. I called Hertz to say we won't need the shuttle and they want to cancel my booking and rebook at a cost to me.

Any advice would be great.

I don't understand what the shuttle has to with the booking. One does not book the shuttle, it runs from the airport to the Hertz lot and from the Hertz lot to the airport.

Just try going online and cancelling, I do it all the time just to grab price decreases and then rebook.

When I booked I selected the pier as a pick up point for the car but they said we would be shuttled to the airport.

Hi tried that it wont let us cancel on line and it costing about $50 to do it over the phone.

 

I think I will just risk going to the airport after the tour and hope there is a car for us if not we can grab a cab.

I'd be switching rental companies for sure. I have never hr=eard of such a pratice as not being able to cancel. Have rented cars for years for busines and can't count the number of times I've switched or cancelled. I use Thfirty

Yeah I think I will be after this we have booked 6 cars with over the space of two weeks so not happy. Because they are all prepaid we would lose the money we have paid already.
