Hi, we are going to alaska on carnival, end july early august. we are booking out of ketchikan with a private tour company. we are in port from 7am-1pm.

our three options are

neets bay 3 hours

anan creek 5 hours (worried on time for this one)

traitors cove 4 hours

any suggestions as to which location is the best and most natural and least amount of people for viewiing? all are by floatplane!! thanks so much!

You should check first with your vendor to see if all three tours are actually available for the day you're in port. As explained by rachelfran, at least one of them requires a permit, and not all vendors are given permits for these places every day. You should also be clear with your vendor on your 7am - 1pm port times as they can tell you if a given tour will not work for the amount of time you have.

thanks so much for the replys!! sadly, only two anan permits were avail and there are 4 of us, but we were able to get permits for traitors cove so we will be going there!

also may add another bear excursion while in skagway across the way in haines as we have 14 hours to spend there!

thanks for the advice!
