rkmom Posted June 23, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2005 We are probably not going to have much time to shop due to Nativeway Rays Reef, Rum Point excursion time, but I would like to get one or two things if possible. What shops would be easy to get to but have a range of things to buy (inexpensive) for souvenirs. I collect shot glasses, my daughter wants keychains. I like to have some sort of thing I can use for an ornament for the Christmas tree. Or just something to have to remind us of our trip. (Stingrays maybe?) ANd I heard the rum cakes are good, or the rum itself! So, if I just have a few minutes, where would you recommend I run to? Thanks in advance for any advice! boatbunny Posted June 23, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2005 There are lots of great gift shops right at the pier. I highly recommend Tortuga Rum Cakes, we've bought them on several cruises. There is a factory store just up the street from the pier (bear right when you get off the boat and walk a couple of blocks, you can't miss the bright yellow and red store). They have free samples for you to try, which only makes it more confusing because they are all so good. Enjoy!
twinkletoes4445 Posted June 26, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2005 We ended up buying rum cakes (Tortuga) on the ship. They had them in their gift shop. I figured it was one less thing to worry about since I knew our time on the island was going to be packed with things to do.
